Terms of Use & Sale

1. Scope

These Terms govern use of the IC Advanced Automotive Diagnostics & Software website, software sales inquiries, file services, remote support, bench services, and mail-in module services.

2. Customer authorization

By requesting work, the customer represents that they own the vehicle, module, calibration file, or data involved, or are authorized by the lawful owner to request the service.

3. Compatibility

Compatibility is not universal. IC Advanced Automotive Diagnostics & Software may refuse a job or software operation when controller type, file structure, security state, data integrity, hardware condition, or available access prevents safe or reliable work.

4. Estimates and payment

Pricing may depend on controller, condition, access method, turnaround, required subscriptions, shipping, and recovery risk. Work beyond an agreed scope requires approval.

5. Customer backups and data

Customers should retain their own backups. IC Advanced Automotive Diagnostics & Software may create working backups but does not guarantee indefinite storage of customer data.

6. Vehicle and emissions compliance

The customer is responsible for ensuring requested work is lawful for the vehicle, jurisdiction, road use, emissions status, security/anti-theft system, and intended use. IC Advanced Automotive Diagnostics & Software may decline requests that appear unlawful or unauthorized.

7. No guaranteed plug-and-play result

Module cloning or data transfer may still require relearns, configuration, immobilizer/security procedures, calibration programming, setup, or additional diagnosis depending on the vehicle.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. IC Advanced Automotive Diagnostics & Software is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, lost-profit, towing, rental, storage, or downtime costs.

9. Intellectual property

Website content, original software code, documentation, graphics, branding, and original materials are owned or claimed by IC Advanced Automotive Diagnostics & Software unless otherwise stated. Third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
